Alexa Wayne

Hi! I’m A. Wayne aka The OCD Nerd, no one important. Haha! I just felt like it’d be nice for people who read this or follow this awesome magazine to know my name.

I’m just a normal nerdy girl who enjoys dark things either it’s paranormal or science fiction. However, what I love most is CREEPY SPACE STUFF!

I’m the CEO of Gothic Bite Magazine — no fashion there! All legends, folklores, hauntings and more! Also, I decided that it was time for me to have my author website because, well, I’m now officially published eight times and my science-fiction/horror series is just around the corner!

“In space, no one can hear you scream.”

Alien, 1979

I loved how they were able to intertwine hell with space and how meticulous they were with every single detail. It has nothing to do with the fact that I had a crush on D.J. played by Jason Isaacs aka Captain Lorca on Star Trek DISCO.

Alien 1979

From there, I upgraded to the Alien franchise and of course, as a girl, I looked up to Ripley played by Sigourney Weaver, one of my favorite actresses of all time! Because finally there was a woman lead who needed no one to save her because she was a strong, bad-ass woman all by herself. I wanted to be her!

Later on, when I met my husband, he had me watch Star Trek. I quickly became a fan of Voyager with Captain Janeway and Seven of Nine, then I watched The Next Generation and found my favorite fictional character of all time: Mr. Data. A little awkward, learning human behavior, ready to help, sometimes wants to say stuff too much… hey, that’s me!

Of course, I watched The Original Series, Enterprise and Deep Space Nine as well. I became a real Trekker. Then, when they were announcing the two-hour premiere of Star Trek Discovery, I was on the fence wondering if they would go forward or backward.

Back then, I worked as a contributor for The Geek Initiative aka TGI at the time. I asked to be the one reviewing the series considering myself an open-minded person. From the first episode I was hooked and of course, when seeing Jason Isaacs as a Star Trek captain, a flame revived! Haha!

“Universal law is for lackeys… context is for kings.”

Captain Lorca, Star Trek Discovery

So, yes, I do love science fiction, and horror mixed. I like it when strange things happen, and no one can explain how or why. I have strange experiences of my own that to this day I cannot explain and wonder if some of those things happened to me because I’ve always had an open mind?

When I write, I try to involve some of my life within so that it feels more real to those who read. I add my own experiences and try to be as accurate as possible to how I would feel in a world that is sometimes to grey for my taste.

So I write and create stories and characters and think about what I like the most, what I fear and what I despise. I create worlds filled with adventures that sometimes, most of the time, lead to horror.

I write creepy space stuff!
